When to Replace It

Replace the hose when it has split or been punctured, when the cuff at either end has worn so it no longer locks in, or when the regulator will not stay where it is set. A split anywhere along a vacuum hose costs suction at the nozzle in direct proportion to the hole, and taping it is a short-term fix at best.

Fitting Notes

Check the hose inlet in the machine at the same time — if the inlet is worn, a new hose will still sit loose. Run the machine and slide the regulator through its travel to confirm it moves freely and holds position before putting it back into service.
