Weight, bin size, battery capacity, and filtration are unchanged from the HX2. Every HX3 also accepts the AquaTwister wet-mop head — the HX2 cannot.

Reach Mode
PowerUnit at the top, near the handle. Keeps the floorhead low and flat for reaching under beds, sofas, and low furniture.
Compact Mode
Wand removed — the PowerUnit becomes a handheld vacuum for tabletops, upholstery, stairs, and car interiors with the included crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and dust brush.
A park position lets the Triflex stand free-standing during short breaks without leaning it against a wall.

AquaTwister HX-AT 10 — Vacuum and Mop with One Machine
The included AquaTwister HX-AT 10 turns the Triflex into a mop for water-resistant hard floors. Two motor-driven rotating pads and a 300 ml water tank work on dried-on dirt, and a 360° SpotLight shows streaks and spots as you go. Attach it and the HX3 recognizes the AquaTwister automatically, switching the display from suction settings to three water levels chosen with the Mode button. Afterward, the AquaPads come off and are machine-washable at 140°F. Honest buyer note: the AquaTwister is a separate floorhead, so vacuuming and mopping are two passes — vacuum first, swap heads, then mop. It is not a combined vacuum-and-mop in a single pass.
MultiFloor XXL SEB 436 Electrobrush with FloorDetect and BrilliantLight
The MultiFloor XXL SEB 436 electrobrush uses FloorDetect to recognize the surface under it and adjust suction power and brushroll speed automatically between carpet and hard floor. Its BrilliantLight LED front light lights up dust and hair along baseboards and under furniture. (The base Triflex HX3 uses the SEB 431, which has no light.)

The HX3 line is new, and most early reviews on Miele’s site come from European buyers. As of September 2026, the Triflex HX3 Aqua carries a 4.4-star average on Miele’s site from about seventeen reviews — the lowest of the HX3 line, so the criticisms deserve a straight read.
On the positive side, a UK owner calls it quiet, compact, and efficient, with mopping that is easy to use and pads that go in the washing machine.
On the other hand, a German owner found vacuuming thorough but slow on tile with short dog hair, the battery close to empty after about 70 m², and mopping slower than a conventional mop at lifting dried spots — while still praising the build quality, the pleasant cleaner, and the hygienic washable pads. In addition, another German owner reported a rug damaged by the brush, without further detail.
In short, the AquaTwister is a convenient maintenance mop for water-resistant floors, not a replacement for scrubbing heavily soiled tile, and vacuuming and mopping are two separate passes.
