These are the brush roll parts for the Tornado 93031 30″ Clean-Air Carpetkeeper (Wide Area) 230V. The sheet covers the complete brush roll assembly and the parts inside it — bearing blocks, bearings, springs, the axle, thread guards, bushings and the gaskets and fasteners that hold it together — plus the drive pulley and the brush shoe. Tornado shares this drawing between the standard 93031 and the later Series J build, so these parts fit both. Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing commercial floor-care equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 or stop by 5415 West Broadway, Crystal, MN 55428.

Frequently Asked Questions

What brush roll parts fit my Tornado 93031 Carpetkeeper?

Every part in the table above is listed on the 93031 brush roll sheet, which Tornado shares between the standard 93031 and the later Series J build — so these parts fit both. Most also fit sibling wide-area machines; each product page lists its full compatible-model set.

How do I know when the brush roll needs replacing?

The brush roll is in contact with carpet every minute the machine runs, so it wears faster than anything else on the vacuum. Replace it when the bristles are visibly short or splayed, when the roll no longer agitates the pile, or when you hear bearing noise or feel roughness turning it by hand. Worn bearings (1.3) and a worn thread guard (1.5) often show up before the bristles do.

Can I replace just the bearings instead of the whole brush roll?

Yes. The bearing block (1.1), spring (1.2), bearing (1.3), thread guard (1.5), axle (1.6) and bushing (1.9) are all sold separately, so a roll with good bristles and a bad bearing can be rebuilt rather than replaced. If the bristles are worn too, the complete assembly (callout 1) is usually the better value.

Why does the diagram show a callout 6 with no part listed?

Good catch — the drawing shows a callout 6 near the pulley end, but Tornado’s own parts book does not list a part against it. We have left the row visible rather than hide it. Call us at 763-535-0770 with your serial number and we will identify the part for you.
