Find genuine Tornado 98169 Marathon 1200 pump assembly replacement parts for Model 98169. This assembly pressurises cleaning solution and controls its release to the spray bar: solution leaves the tank, passes an in-line strainer, is pressurised by the 230-volt pump, and is released by the 230-volt solenoid valve when the operator calls for solution. The sheet covers the pump and solenoid valve, the quick-disconnects, union tee and nylon elbow, the three pressurised hoses, and the connector assembly that carries power to the valve. Twin City Vacuum has been selling and servicing Tornado equipment since 1956. Call 763-535-0770 or stop by 5415 West Broadway, Crystal, MN 55428.

Frequently Asked Questions

My machine sprays weakly or not at all. Is the pump bad?

Probably not. Check the in-line strainer for clogging, the spray nozzles for blockage, and the fittings for leaks that bleed off pressure. Those three account for most spray complaints and all are inexpensive. Suspect the pump only after they are ruled out.

Is the 98169 pump the same as the 98168 pump?

No. The pump and the solenoid valve are voltage-specific: the 98169 uses the 230-volt components and the 115-volt 98168 uses its own. The fittings, hoses and strainer are shared between the two machines.

Why are some parts on this page listed as call for price?

The 230-volt pump and solenoid valve are export-market components that our usual price source does not publish a retail figure for. Rather than quote a number we cannot stand behind, call us and we will quote the current price and lead time.

How can I tell a failed solenoid valve from a failed pump?

A pump fault changes how much pressure there is; a valve fault changes whether that pressure is allowed through. Solution that flows continuously or not at all regardless of the control points at the valve.
