Two breakdowns on one page, because they cover the same two machines and the same repairs: the Piece Parts sheet and the Vacuum Motor sheet for the Tornado CV 30 (12-inch, model 91449) and the Tornado CV 38 (15-inch, model 91451). Between them they account for everything the operator handles — the handle, the wand, the hoses and the on-board tools — and the motor that does the pulling.
Each drawing has its own numbering. Read the number beside the item on the drawing it belongs to, then match it in the table directly underneath that drawing. Hover any red dot to see what it is.

Suction Hose, CV Models After 2010 – K6391934019. Wand Sleeve – K540711501. Tornado CV Handle – K5321713016. Spring – K5332339013. Crevice Tool – K690624002. Handle Assembly Complete – K4128001015. Filter Holder – K50428360This sheet is where the accessories live. The upholstery nozzle and crevice tool clip to the body and are the two items most often lost rather than worn out, and the accessory clip that holds them, K50411110, is fitted in pairs. The wand and its sleeve take the knocks; the filter holder and its spring are what keep the bag seated, and a machine that keeps dropping its bag usually has a tired spring rather than a bad bag.

5. Nyloc Nut – K731143104. Carbon Brushes – K661024903. Terminal – K664355101. Motor Suction Complete – K406059102. Pinion – K53520850Five parts, and the order in which they fail is worth knowing. Carbon brushes go first and are cheap. The terminal is next, usually after a brush change done without care. The pinion and its nyloc nut come off together and the nut should be renewed when it does. The complete motor is the last resort, and on a machine that has earned its keep it is often still the right call — a new motor puts the suction back to new.

Notes on these diagrams
Tornado piece parts list runs 1 to 3 and then 5 to 19 — there is no position 4. That is a gap in the manufacturer’s numbering rather than an omission here.
Both sheets are shared between the CV 30 and the CV 38 in the Tornado parts book, with identical part numbers on each. Several of these parts are also fitted to CleanMax machines, which is why their titles do not lead with a brand — the compatible-model list on each part page is the authority on where it fits.
Frequently asked questions
There are two suction hoses on this drawing. Which one do I need?
Position 5 is K63911150 and position 9 is K63919340. They are different lengths serving different parts of the airway, and both are fitted to the same machine — this is not an either/or. If you are replacing one, match the number on the old hose or measure it before ordering.
Do the CV 30 and CV 38 use the same piece parts and motor?
Yes, throughout. The drawing shows one Piece Parts sheet and one Vacuum Motor sheet covering both machines, and every number is common. Only the brush head differs between the 12-inch and the 15-inch.
Can I replace the carbon brushes instead of the whole motor?
Often, yes, and it is much the cheaper repair. K66102490 is the carbon brush set for this motor. Worn brushes show up as a motor that sparks visibly, loses power under load or will not start reliably. If the commutator underneath is scored or blackened, the motor itself is done and K40605910 is the replacement.
What is the nyloc nut for?
K73114310 holds the pinion on the motor shaft. It is a locking nut with a nylon insert, not a plain hex nut, and it should not be reused once it has been off — the insert only grips properly the first time. It is a couple of dollars and worth replacing whenever the pinion comes off.
The rest of each machine is indexed on the Tornado CV 30 parts hub and the Tornado CV 38 parts hub.
