The CleanMax CPU-3N foot pedal (part# 54-016) is the toe-operated pedal at the back of the power nozzle that an operator presses to change the carpet-height setting and to engage the nozzle. It rides on the pedal shaft in the pedal frame and works against the return spring, giving the positive click an operator feels when stepping through the height positions.

Replace the foot pedal when it is cracked, when the tread has worn smooth so a shoe slips off it, or when it no longer returns and holds a setting because the pivot has worn oval.
