Crevice Tool 1-1/2 in. Stainless External Spray 120 PSI AA160.1
$286.99
Genuine OEM 1-1/2 inch stainless crevice tool with external spray, rated to 120 p.s.i. The jet sits outside the body so solution lands ahead of the suction slot and stays visible and easy to clear. Fits Tornado and Powr-Flite extractors; see the full compatibility list below.
Genuine OEM crevice tool, 1-1/2 inch, stainless steel, with external spray, rated to 120 p.s.i. (part# AA160.1) — fits both Tornado and Powr-Flite extractors (see the full list below). The external spray is what distinguishes this tool: the jet sits outside the body rather than inside the throat, so solution lands ahead of the suction slot and you can see exactly where it is going in a space you cannot get your hand into.
What an external spray buys you in a crevice
In a narrow gap — along a baseboard, down the side of a stair stringer, between a seat base and a bulkhead — an internal jet wets the inside of the tool as much as the soil. Putting the nozzle outside the body means the solution reaches the surface first and the slot recovers it immediately behind. It also makes the jet visible, so you can aim it instead of guessing, and it makes the jet accessible when it needs cleaning, which on a crevice tool is often.
Keep the jet clear
An exposed jet picks up debris and mineral scale faster than a protected one. If the spray goes from a fan to a stream or starts firing off to one side, clean the orifice before assuming the tool has failed — that symptom is almost always a partly blocked jet rather than anything wrong with the body. Flush the tool with clean water at the end of a shift and it will stay predictable.
Pressure and fitment
Rated to 120 p.s.i., so match it to the machine rather than to the connector. The 1-1/2 inch cuff will physically join to extractors that deliver far more than 120 p.s.i., and running it above its rating will make it weep at the jet fitting. Replace the tool when the slot edge has worn enough to mark a surface, when the body leaks under working pressure, or when a cleaned jet still will not form an even spray.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the external spray on the crevice tool (part# AA160.1) do?
It puts the jet outside the tool body instead of inside the throat, so solution reaches the surface ahead of the suction slot rather than wetting the inside of the tool. It also makes the jet visible so you can aim it, and reachable so you can clean it.
My crevice tool sprays to one side — is it broken?
Usually not. An exposed jet collects debris and mineral scale, and a partly blocked orifice is what turns an even fan into a stream or a sideways jet. Clean the jet first; flushing the tool with clean water at the end of a shift prevents most of it.
What machines does the crevice tool (part# AA160.1) fit?
Both Tornado and Powr-Flite extractors — the Tornado Marathon 800, 1200 and 2000, the Surge extractors, the Marathon Box Extractors, the ProSpot and PS-series spotters and the CarpetRinser/Dryer range, plus the Powr-Flite PE060-G15-U.
