Why does this sheet show only two roller brushes when the 15-inch shows three?
Tornado lists an anti-static roller for the narrow machine and does not list one at 19 inches. What you get for this width is the black soft roller K47624890 and the red stiff roller K47624880. If you specifically need an anti-static roller in a 19-inch head, ring us rather than assuming the 15-inch number will fit — it will not.
Are the bags and filters the same as the CV 38/2 uses?
Yes. Bags, the sealed HEPA cartridge, the motor intake filter and the drive belt are common across both widths of this platform, which is convenient if you run a mixed fleet: one box of bags and one shelf of filters covers both machines. Only the roller brushes are width-specific.
How do I know when the belt needs changing?
A tired belt shows up as a roller that stalls under load or stops altogether while the vacuum motor keeps running, and often as a burnt-rubber smell. K63484600 is inexpensive enough that replacing it on suspicion is reasonable; it is also worth checking the roller bearings at the same time, because a seizing roller is what destroys belts.
Can I run this machine without a bag?
No. The bag is the primary filtration stage on a CV 48/2 and running without one loads the sealed HEPA cartridge directly with grit, which will choke it quickly and is expensive to put right. If you do not want to buy disposables, fit the reusable cloth bag K69043010 instead.
