This is the later chassis drawing for the Powr-Flite Prowler PFX 900S-T. It carries the same chassis group as the earlier sheet — the main chassis moulding (X9012), both 12" non-marking wheels (X9066) with their axle washers, the flip door with its hinge, spring and EPDM gasket, the vacuum shoe and tube (X9009A), the 120 PSI solution pump (AQ120) with its brass fittings and quick-disconnects, and the handle grommets and wiring terminals — and adds the bracket assembly shown in the enlarged detail at the left of the drawing, callouts 53 and 54, together with a second view of callouts 16 and 41. Every number in the table below is the callout number printed on the diagram above.
Two callouts also change part number between the two drawings. At callout 2 this sheet specifies the solenoid valve SW290 where the earlier sheet specifies the solenoid valve kit SW290-KIT, and at callout 16 it specifies 12896 where the earlier sheet specifies the screw 71651A. If your machine is near the serial break, check the plate before ordering either of those two.
Most chassis service on this machine is plumbing or rolling gear. Weak or absent spray usually traces to the pump (AQ120) or to one of the brass fittings around it — the street elbow (SW139), the bushing (7AG002), the tee union (7AV001), the hex nipple (7CX002) or the nylon reducer (X2198) — and a leak at a quick-disconnect is normally the coupler (PX5 or PX6). A machine that drags or will not track straight points at the wheels (X9066), the countersunk axle washers (X8020) or the vacuum shoe (X9009A). Several of these parts are shared with the Tornado Marathon SE 900 (model 98170), the same platform sold under the Tornado name; the numbers here are the Powr-Flite numbers for your machine. What is different about this drawing?
It adds the bracket assembly — callouts 53 and 54, drawn in the enlarged detail at the left of the sheet along with a second view of callouts 16 and 41 — and it changes two part numbers: callout 2 is the solenoid valve SW290 rather than the kit SW290-KIT, and callout 16 is 12896 rather than the screw 71651A. Everything else matches the earlier sheet.
Why do some callout numbers have more than one dot?
A few parts are drawn in more than one place. The hose clamp (7DL003, callout 29) appears three times, and the brass hose barb (7AT003, callout 30), the self-locking flange bolt (X8209S, callout 47) and callout 41 each appear twice. Every one of those dots points at the same product.
The drawing says SW290 but the site lists SW290-KIT. Which do I order?
Order the kit. Powr-Flite no longer supplies the bare 290 PSI solenoid valve SW290; it is superseded by the valve kit SW290-KIT, which the factory lists as the replacement for 19242, 33963, 32963A, 33963B, SW132, SW132A, SW132B, SW132S and SW290. Callout 2 in the table links to the kit. The other three parts unique to this drawing — the screw 12896 at callout 16, the steel solenoid bracket X2543 at callout 53 and the M4 screw 00-0408-0013 at callout 54 — are all listed and priced.
