The brush head is where a dual-motor CVD earns its keep and where most of its wear happens: the brush roll and its bearings, the belt and brush motor, the glide sole and bumper that meet the floor, and the height adjustment that matches the machine to the carpet. Callout 270 has three parts — which one do I order?
Whichever bristle grade suits the carpet. Red hard for dense commercial loop, black soft for cut-pile and more delicate carpet, anti-static where dry-season static is a problem. All three fit the same position on a 15-inch machine.
Will these parts fit a 19-inch CVD 48/2?
Some will and some will not, which is exactly why there are two pages. The brush motor, circuit board, microswitch, foot pedal and most of the fasteners are common. The brush rolls, bumper, glide sole, bottom housing and pinion are width-specific.
My brush roll will not turn — where do I start?
The belt (K63484600) first, then the microswitch (K66301350), then the circuit board (K66822900). Working up in cost order rules out the cheap causes before the expensive one. Remember the suction motor runs independently, so the machine sounds normal throughout.
How do I get the brush roll out?
Release the lock pieces and lift the glide sole off — no tools — then the roll lifts clear. Clear any hair wrapped at the bearing ends while it is out.
