A 19-inch head covers ground faster and takes more punishment doing it: the roller brush, the bumper, the glide sole and the wheels all wear on a wide-path route. Note that the brush rolls, bumper, glide sole and bottom housing on this page fit the 19-inch machines only — their 15-inch equivalents photograph almost identically and carry different numbers. Frequently Asked Questions
Callout 270 has two parts — which do I order?
Red is the harder bristle for dense commercial loop; black is the softer grade for cut-pile and more delicate carpet. Both fit the same position on a 19-inch machine.
Can I fit a 15-inch brush roll to this machine?
No. It will not span the head. This is the single most common mis-order on the CVD platform, which is why the 15-inch and 19-inch brush heads have separate pages.
Which parts here are the same as the 15-inch machine?
The brush motor, circuit board, microswitch, foot pedal, rear wheel, top cover, adjusting wheel, belt and the fasteners. The brush rolls, bumper, glide sole, bottom housing and pinion are 19-inch only.
Why does the pinion have no callout number?
The drawing shows it on the sheet without printing a number against it. Rather than invent one we show a dash in the number column; the part is still linked and still orderable.
