Screw 17848 is called out twice, at 13 and at 44, with eleven at one position and ten at the other — it is one part number appearing in two places, so both rows point at the same listing. And solution hose 19527 is in Tornado’s parts table as item 51 but has no numbered bubble anywhere on the diagram; we list it because the parts table does, but there is nothing on the drawing to point at, which is why its row is marked and why it will carry no dot.

Why is screw 17848 listed twice on the Tornado 98220 main assembly?
Because the factory calls it out at two separate positions on the drawing — eleven pieces at one and ten at the other, twenty-one in total. It is a single part number appearing twice, not two different screws, so both rows link to the same listing.
I cannot find item 51 on the diagram. Where is the solution hose?
Nowhere, and that is not your mistake. Tornado’s parts table lists solution hose 19527 as item 51 with a quantity of two, but the drawing carries no bubble 51 — the table and the diagram disagree. The part is genuine and the factory cross-reference confirms it across the spotter family.
My Tornado 98220 sounds normal but will not pick up water. What should I check?
Start with the float shut-off. If the float ball in cage assembly 19516 is stuck up on its seat the machine reads as having lost all suction with an empty tank. Then check the intake screen 19517 for blockage, the tank latches X9059 for a joint that is no longer clamped tight, and the motor gaskets 30456 and 30457 — a vacuum system leaks air far more readily than it leaks water.
Which parts on this sheet are Series G only?
The pump plate 31471 and the pump mounting bracket 31490 are Series G parts, as are the electrical components cover and its gasket on the solution tank sheet. Earlier series used different hardware in those positions. Read the series and the serial number off the plate on the solution tank, and call 763-535-0770 if you are not sure which applies to your machine.
