Frequently Asked Questions
Which Zephyr main unit parts fail most often?
Filters first — the motor protection filter and post filter are consumables. After those it is the battery bay: the contacts, the locking latch and its spring take a working every time the pack is changed. The motor and control board are reliable but expensive, so it is worth ruling out everything else before ordering either.
My Zephyr is dead with a charged battery. What should I check?
Try the pack in another Tornado cordless machine that takes the same 36V pack. If it works there, the fault is in the machine: check the battery contacts and the battery control cable before suspecting the control board.
Why are two parts listed as call for price?
The insulation assembly (K42860000) and the M3 x 12 screw (K63035570) are on the factory sheet but the dealer catalogue does not list them, so we have no published price to quote. Rather than hide them we list them and source them on request.
Do Strike parts fit the Zephyr?
Some do. The 36V battery, the HEPA cartridge, the battery contact and several fasteners are shared with the Tornado Strike, and each of those product pages lists every machine it fits. Most of the Zephyr’s housing and electronics parts are specific to this model.
Not sure which part you need? Call Twin City Vacuum on 763-535-0770 with your model number and the callout number from the diagram and we will confirm it before you order. See all Tornado Zephyr parts. See the full Tornado Zephyr parts hub.
