How do I find the right filter or blower part on these diagrams?
Find the part on the diagram and note the number printed beside it, then match that number to the first column of the table below that diagram. Every numbered part carries a clickable red marker that opens the part in a new tab. The filter, blower and shaker are shown on two separate Tornado breakdowns, so check both tables if you do not find your number in the first.
My suction drops off during a shift. Where do I start?
Start with the filter. Run the shaker and see whether airflow recovers — if it does, the filter is simply loading and the machine is working as designed. If it does not recover, check that the shaker actually runs and that the cleaning bar sweeps the full width of the filter. Only after those check out is it worth looking at the vacuum motor.
Which filter parts are consumables?
The main PTFE flat-pleated filter and the pre-filter are the true consumables, and the gaskets that seal them should be renewed with them. The cleaning elements — the cleaner plate, the wiper plate and the prefilter stripper — wear more slowly but do wear, and they are worth inspecting whenever the filter is out.
